Registered Waste Carrier: CBDL453346

MSE Pest Control is registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier, broker and dealer (CBDL453346). See how to check the register.

What is waste carrier registration?

In England, any business that transports waste, buys, sells or disposes of waste, or arranges for someone else to do so, must be registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier, broker or dealer. Businesses that don’t register can face an unlimited fine. Once a business is registered, its details appear on the Environment Agency’s public register.

MSE Pest Control is on the register as a Carrier, Broker, Dealer (Lower Tier), registration number CBDL453346, registered on 21 September 2022.

What does registration require?

When a business registers, the Environment Agency tells it whether its registration is upper tier or lower tier. Upper tier registrations must be renewed every three years; lower tier registrations do not need to be renewed. Registered businesses must tell the Environment Agency within 28 days if their contact details, management or activities change.

What it means for you

Pest control can produce waste, from used bait and treatment materials to pest-damaged items and nest material. Using a registered carrier means the waste from your job is being handled by a business the Environment Agency knows about, rather than being dumped or passed on informally. It is worth checking the register for any contractor who takes waste away.
